Man – it’s been a busy week. So much to blog about, but so little time. Perhaps I will catch up but for now, there is more playing to do! My son, his good buddy Shon, a niece, nephew and brother-in-law have been visiting with us for the past week. We have gone across to Kachemak Bay State Park to do little hikes, medium hikes, and large hikes. We’ve been to see the glacier and play amongst the icebergs, conquered some mountains, and saw a myriad of wildlife. Highlights were humpback whales, sea otters, moose, puffins, and harbor seals. At night, we dined on fresh-caught salmon and halibut, bear chilli with corn bread, pizza with beers, and smores around the campfire. Yesterday, we went to one of my secret little spots and caught a bunch of beautiful sockeye (red) salmon. Everyone caught fish and had a ball. For those of you that will be here soon – the reds are coming in, and the next couple of weeks will be prime time for fishing them. If you want to go get them, just get in touch with me and I will do my best to make it happen. Here’s a fun shot from yesterday. Remember, this could be you, at Majestic View.
